The Morning
I over slept. Little to do with the long drive of the last day, but more from the comfort of the bed at the hotel.
A scheduled visit for an eye check up at LVPEI at Banjara Hills. Well managed, facilitated and capable doctors. All good, and set to enjoy the rest of the day. We left for our hotel to have lunch and a lazy afternoon followed.
Evening at 45th Avenue by Karachi Bakery
Light drizzle, gentle breeze and the royalty at 45th Avenue. It was my second time here and my wife’s first. One of the more premium all day cafe you can visit in Banjara hills. Apart from being the conventional bakery, 45th Avenue is a combination of artisan bakery, patisserie, restaurant and an up market cafe all the same time. a wide array of cuisines to chose – Continental, Italian, Mexican and Asian breakfast menu to go on with their hot and cold beverage range. Deserts like Cheesecake or a live Kunafa counter. Dine in or take away, but spending an evening here is worth it.
Most people know Karachi Bakery for its legendary fruit biscuits, but 45th Avenue takes that legacy in a completely different direction. Think artisan breads, gourmet desserts, specialty coffee, and a bright European-style café where lingering over breakfast feels almost mandatory. It manages to retain the bakery’s heritage while presenting it in a thoroughly modern setting.
For all with the sweet tooth, this place is a paradise. 2 hours went by so quick, as we settled on a Pasta Arrabbiata and the British Fish & Chips, accompanied by coffee as the rain continued outside. It felt like a moment well spent.
Day 3
Another scheduled visit at the LVPEI, this time for my wife. Unfortunate, that our appointments were on different dates and at different campus. Again some good news and we decided to return to hotel for a lunch there. I did not describe much, but the lunch was simple and to our taste.
This evening would be another foodie adventure.
Karachi Bakery Store, Gachibowli
It seemed we brought rain along with us to wherever we went. Auto rides felt like a bliss. Oh! I forgot to mention, I had parked the car at the hotel during the entire duration of the trip and trusted the “tuk-tuk”.
The options at the stores often fog the mind. what to chose and what to just it be. A few box of biscuits and we were done. Next stop, for a Mughlai dinner and no points for guessing where we planned it.
Paradise on Earth
It is indeed. If you love Mughlai food, Paradise can not be missed.
Kebabs and Biriyani. Tender succulent kebabs and the mild taste with a rich flavorful biriyani. We were taken.
Not much after. A slow ride back to the hotel, while we planned for Day 4. The next day, we unravel the history of the city.
